Welcome to the Oklahoma Aquarium Association web site!
The Oklahoma Aquarium Association is a general aquarium hobbyist group. Our members maintain fresh, brackish and marine aquariums. All persons interested in the hobby are welcome, from the novice to the advanced fishkeeper. Our members have kept and spawned many species in their aquaria.
The OKC chapter meets the first saturday of each month. Every third meeting is held at member's house in the evening. The Tulsa chapter meets the second Sunday of each month. Meetings generally involve a door prize, a presentation and include an auction of live fish and plants. Participation in the monthly meetings is open to the public and there is no charge for attending.

Aquatic Poker Run Fundraiser
Some of our members are helping to raise money to purchase a motorized chair for Susan. If you would like to help, meet Saturday, May 9th 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at Aquarium Oddballs in Tulsa or if you can't make the poker run, you can make a donation via paypal to: JamieShilling@cox.net. Be sure and include a note as to what it's for. Membership dues are $20.00 per household and cover 12 months. Special discounted memberships are available to members of other aquarium specialty groups and non-voting out-of-state members for half price. Junior memberships are also available at half-price for members under 18 years of age. Membership benefits include discounts at area merchants, presentations on various aspects of aquatics given by nationally recognized speakers, participation in club auctions where you can acquire rare fish and plants for bargain basement prices, and club activities that include behind the scenes tours of public and commercial aquariums, as well as native fish collecting trips. Plus you will have the opportunity to develop friendships with other interested hobbyists and share information and experiences.
