The Oklahoma Aquarium Association is a general aquarium hobbyist group. Our members maintain fresh, brackish and marine aquariums. All persons interested in the hobby are welcome, from the novice to the advanced fishkeeper. Our members have kept and spawned many species in their aquaria.

The OKC chapter meets the first saturday of each month. Every third meeting is held at member's house in the evening. The Tulsa chapter meets the second Sunday of each month. Meetings generally involve a door prize, a presentation and include an auction of live fish and plants. Participation in the monthly meetings is open to the public and there is no charge for attending.

Oklahoma City Meeting 1 p.m.- 5 p.m. Saturday, August 2nd, Location Robert M. Bird Health Sciences Library, 1000 Stanton L Young Blvd, Oklahoma City in the library auditorium which is on main level (2nd floor). Here's a pdf map of the OU Health Sciences Center. Stillwater Meeting 1 p.m., Saturday, August 23rd at Esther's house - 326 N. Kyle Court, Stillwater. More info is in this thread There will be an auction and a pot luck lunch. Tulsa Meeting 2 p.m., Sunday, August 10th in room D-109 at the OSU Center for Health Sciences, 1111 W 157 street (just off SW Blvd.), Tulsa. Directions (pdf). Annual dues are $20.00 per household or $10.00 if you join after June 30th. Special discounted memberships are available to members of other aquarium specialty groups and non-voting out-of-state members for half price. Junior memberships are also available at half-price for members under 18 years of age. Membership benefits include discounts at area merchants, presentations on various aspects of aquatics given by nationally recognized speakers, participation in club auctions where you can acquire rare fish and plants for bargain basement prices, and club activities that include behind the scenes tours of public and commercial aquariums, as well as native fish collecting trips. Plus you will have the opportunity to develop friendships with other interested hobbyists and share information and experiences. We now have a chapter of the Midwest Cichlid Association to help us connect to one another and to a great group of cichlid hobbyists to our north.

The Oklahoma Aquarium Association traces its origins back to the very first aquarium club in Oklahoma.
